So, last feb 2, i brought my tab to junrex in ayala kay ako ipaayo. It wont read man gud the simcard na at first I thought expired na but when i inserted on another device, mu-work man. Ingon ang technician, i-try nila ug re-program. But it didnt work. So ingon napud sila icheck sa nila basin naay pisa dapat ilisan. Since under warranty pa man sya, ok ra ko. Then after pila ka days of follow ups, ganina niingon ok na daw so I went there to pick it up. Giilisan daw ug board. And niwork ang sim na ako gibutang so ok nako. Pag-abot sa balay, syempre gikuti2 nako. i tried clicking the software update but then na-shock ko kay ang display "the device has been modified. Sofware updates are not available." I checked the device status and its now "custom". I am not that knowlegeable about gadgets but something tells me something is not good. Or paranoid na ko? Does this mean dili nako maka-update forever sa akong Android version if ever? Please enlighten me kay nagplano jud ko mubalik ngadto. march na raba mu-xpire akong warranty.

Yes some shops actually modify the software. Ang uban install.an pa gani ug lain rom. If ako ana nga situation I'd try to flash the stock firmware again.

And yes if dili na usbun d naka maka official OTA updates.

Naka try ka ask nila ana boss? Nga nganu na modify na xa.

Thanks for the response. Wala ko naka-ask kay nabantayan naman nako sa bay na. Di man pud ko kahibaw jud anang mga software2 thingy, huhu. Unsa ako buhaton sir? Ibalik ni nako sa shop? Mabalik pa a tong iriginal software ani?

ibalik lang na sa shop.. then ingna nga ipa flash balik ang stock firmware niya.. kay naka custom man kaha?
di na jud ka maka update ana via software update sa imong samsung..

mabalik pa tong original firmware niya.. basta ila lang e flash balik..

Dali ra mabalik ang original firmware niya. Unless grb njd pagka modify nga mu include nas hardware. But I think that's unlikely.

Yup agree ko ni sir nickgandionco kay software issue raman tingale na. Ibalik lang sa shop para naa ka peace of mind og safe pod ka.
