i think naka basa nako ani 2years ago. reported nga ang HD nga gi manufacture sa china kay naay hiden bug nga mo spy sa imo PC/Network ug uban pa. mau ako personaly i dont buy PC components nga gikan sa china. better wise Malaysia, Philippines, Costa Rica ug uban pa

when buying harddrives, i choose made in malaysia, made in thailand and except china :P

but if this is the case, then Seagate must have allowed this in the first placE? because if Seagate denied this, even if the chinese people assembled the drive, they cant bug the drive.

Hehe. Its in the dco or hpa area of the disk which is completely hidden from user. You need the right tools to gain access and erase is not easy
