    Default Leaded or Unleaded gasoline for my motmot


    Ask lang unta ko mga motorcycle masters...bought a new motorcycle yesterday and asked the staff/technician/mechanic sa kind of gasoline nga pwede...said that pwede ra premium and unleaded...but suggested mas better daw premium kay sa unleaded.so went home filling the tank full of shell nitro...read the mot manual when i arrived home then written na unleaded is recommended or else it will damage what they call "catalytic converter"...confused me here...noob ko with regards to this and can someone share a link related to this issue of mine here sa istorya(kapoy backread) or can you share your experience and what can i do sa ako situation...ako ba habwaon ang gasolina to replace unleaded?     Update:

    did some research and found out that premium gasoline is actually also unleaded gasoline.differs on the octane level.

    however another question: IF THE MANUAL SAYS THAT USE "ONLY UNLEADED GASOLINE", does this instruction mean then that we can use PREMIUM, REGULAR UNLEADED GASOLINE regardless of the "compression ratio" since these gas types mentioned are the same,unleaded? And ONLY referring to never use diesel or any gasoline that are not unleaded for your motor vehicle?

    i dont know if my questions' making any sense but i hope the masters can enlighten me or to some who are troubled by this situation. (please refer me to a previous link here in istorya if na raise na ni nga issue)

    d ko sweto parte og motor, pero two years kapin nko nagamit og premium wala man ko namatikdan na irregularities sa motor...

    Mao lagi pvt.ryan...medyo libog mode kay the staff/mechanic said better lagi premium kay better performance lagi kuno....but the manual said otherwise..unleaded jud lagi kuno ornaay ma damage sa anang catalyctic converter something...would like to hear testimonies and experience if sakto ba ako na buhat and what should i do about it...but good to know sir pvt na ok ra diay imoha motmot...thanks!

    I know i should follow whats written in the manual.pero what is done is done.i dont know if i can call this a mistake.my judgement was based on the educated suggestions from persons i consider taas taas og experience when it comes to motorcycle maintenance...needs suggestion lang sa mga masters unsa ako buhaton or mu relax lang ba ko then pagasolina nalang ko leaded when ma consume na ang full tank of leaded gas or ako habwaon ba(ambot unsaon hehehe)...thanks kaayo ninyo.

    Kung ang motorcycle manual imong sundon, naa ba catalytic converter imong motorcycle? Ang gasolina ba nga gihisgotan sa motorcycle manual same ra ba sa gasolina nga gigamit dire sa atoa? Ang imong gipangutana, pareha ba mo ug mo ug motorcycle or have experience on the same make of motorcycle? Ikaw ra makatubag ana nga mga pangutana.

    Kung strikto nga paghunahuna, bisan unsa nga gasolina imong gamiton, naa gyud nay contribution nga makadaot maong naay maintenance routine nga imong sundon aron maminusan ang mahimong problema. Kung kinsa ang nag tuno sa imong motor ug kung unsay fuel nimo gigamit at that time natuno ug tarong imong motor nga nindot ang iyang performance, mao na to nga fuel ang ipadayon ug gamit kay natuno man sya for that fuel. Kung mag ilis ka ug laing klase sa fuel, obserbahi kung mas mo nindot ba. Kung mobati gani, patabang pausab ug tuno for that particular fuel then compare asa nga performance imong gusto. Make to minimum ang gipang-usab nga contributing factors kung mag tuno lang kay nag ilis ug fuel aron fuel factor lang ang dakong hinungdan.

    ako suggestions is follow what the manual says.. kay it was written by the people who knows the design of your engine.. if na-ay octane rating sa manual.. mao sunda... wala nay critical na damage kana imu gi tubilan ug premium.. or taas na octane... mas okay taas na octane kay sa mo ubos ka sa recommended.. ang consequences lang if higher octane imu gamiton kay sa recommended.. mas init imung makina.. and mas mahal imu gasto.. other than that.. okay raman..

    Since brand new man kha na imu motor.. im pretty sure naa jud na catalytic converter.. motorcycles today have catalytic converter built in their mufflers.

    regarding what you should do now.. you don't need to worry.. you can use than tank of premium and then use unleaded the next time you top up..
