    Default Smog

As of the moment, while typing this in, I happened to glance out of the window from my office (Im on the 12th floor) and notice... GRABEH KA BAGA ANG SMOG COVERING CEBU! As in dili na ma klaro ang Crown Regency sa akong view sa kabaga! Ang Cebu kay murag hapit na mapareho sa Manila (or murag the same na dyud) in terms of pollution, as for traffic, hapit na sad, padulong na ta. Ang nakalahi pa dyud sa Manila kay ang smog nila kay naa ra sa skyline, ang smog diri Cebu kay ga engulf dyud sa city.

just relocated back to cebu for 1 week now coming from manila for almost 9 years...

wah ko mag dahum, i thought cebu is better than manila... apparently i am kinda wrong... traffic, lisud sakay, abog kaayo, jeepneys cutting trip, hasul kaayo mag balhin2x na nuon og sakay...

na unsa naman ning cebu... it was never like this a decade ago...

with the rate cebu is growing and with a very limited land area, cebu will most likely be worse than manila... seriously, this city need a long term solution for mass transport system...

BRT is one step, pero murag train gyud ang angay ani... unya ilisan ang mga multicab og buses... haskang daghana nila sa dan unya gamay ra kaayo makasakay, pirti pa gyud huota... ilisan nag bus, 1 - 5 siguro ratio (1 bus, 5 ka multicab - i think it will significantly de-congest the major city streets)...

as you may notice, there are lots of constructions going on (road improvements, building/condos constructions) in parts of cebu and this could be another factor to consider on this smog we see every morning here in cebu.

Cebu is going in Manila's direction. Dili ang PUV problema. Ang mga car owners. Halos kada myembro sa family naay sakyanan. Naa pa dyod motor. Dili mu grabe ang smog ana?

sakto.. sa ka daghan sa sakyanan dili regulated ug ang uban tambotso pa bulhot murag itom na kau. what do we expect ani, mo worse gyud. wala man gd ni nakita sa local government sa pag regulate sa mga sakyanan, mao man cguro ni ang major contributor kay dli man kau grabe ang factory sa cebu pa.

partly true... pero naay area sa manila (pasig/eastwood area), nga ok ra ang traffic outside rush hours... ang rush hour raman ang maka patay didto... pasig ko puyo, then eastwood ko work... outside rush hours ko mo adto work, way blima sa traffic og sakay, 30mins abot nako office... karon diri, ataya, 30 mins wah pa ko ka sakay og jeep...

kanang baha, aw mao gyud na problema didto...

IMO, problema para nako ang PUV bro... or public transport in general... kay kung dili lisud or problemado na nga sistema, ang mga taw di na mamalit og auto... pero tungod lisud kaayo mag commute, mamalit nalang og auto...

take for example, kanang multicab, gagmay kaayo so to compensate sa volume of passengers, daghan kaayo sila... adding volume to the street traffic... kung ilisan nag bus, siguro katunga sa multicab mawala, ma luag2x pa siguro ang dalan, unya mas daghan pa makasakay sa bus, comfortable paka, dili murag sardinas sa multicab... major city streets should be converted to buses IMO...

ang mga wad-an og panginabuhi, aw that's another story... sometimes, we have to choose the lesser evil...
