Has anyone been to Phuket? Me and my fiance' are planning on going there on holiday for a week next month.

- Can anyone recommend a good hotel? Not those 5-star luxury resorts but still fairly decent, not those shabby backpackers with a lot of rowdy caucasian tourists...

We haven't booked our flights yet as I haven't made my mind up about visiting Bangkok.

-What are the Airlines that offer the cheapest flights going directly to Phuket? I only know of Tiger Airways and Cebu Pacific offering flights direct to Phuket.

Any suggestions on activities that is worth doing or experiencing there?

Any help and tips would be much appreciated...
