    Default Normal CPU temp?

    Maayong gabii,

    specs:
    i5-4590 with stock cooler
    r9-270x

^ normal ra kaayo na bro... no need for an aftermarket cooler... mao na sya ang range temp sa stock cooler... kun gusto ka'g bling, aw, pag closed LCS or even Open LCS... hehehe... dili na mamatay ang CPU nimo. it can even work in 100 Deg C... stress temp anang CPU during testing is set at 125 Deg C...

pero, mas nice man ang "eye candy" kun mag aftermarket cooler gyud... hehehe...

    @TS

Sakto si boss lloyd those are normal temps, stock cooler can handle the job, "unless cguro mag OC ka then you need a closed LCS. Kana syang mga aftermarket cooler og mga closed LCS optional coolers rana sya "depends on your need", agree kung boss lloyd, they are just "eye candy", if you have those coolers mas nindot og sexy jd tan-awn compare to the stock cooler.

Akoa man ganing i7-4770k OC @ 4.2ghz reaching 75c-80c ang temp while playing games wala man gani ko na balaka even if i'm using a closed LCS, how much more ikaw reaching 55c-60c only using a stock cooler. Even my GPU GTX titan can reach sometimes 80c higher kay dli aircon amoang balay (which i know kay reference card man it's just normal so init gyud).

Ara naka mabalaka if ang temps mo saka og 90c-100c pirte na gyud inita ana, ara na cguro ka mo upgrade from your stock cooler. Since normal raman imong temps, payts na kaayo na, but if you want more bling2 looks, then pwede ka mo palit og closed LCS or aftermarket cooler.

    bros,

allow me to share this semicon reliability probability computation... mao ni gamit namo diri's Company and standard ni for semiconductor products. "Legit" computation ni... diri sa Company namo, ako ang "official" na mo himo ani ug mo hatag sa "Product MTTF & FIT report" sa mga Customers.

    Given:
    use temp: 80 Deg C
    burn-in temp: 125 Deg C
total number of samples: 385 units (5 set @ 77 units per set)... this is a continuous monitoring so the sample size is increasing.
    confidence level: 60%
    number of failures: 0
number of hrs test per unit: 1,000 hrs

    Result:
    MTTF: 8.23E+6 Hrs/ 3.43E+5 Days/ 9.40E+2 Years
    FIT: 121.50
Probability that the device will operate in 1 yr w/out a failure: 99.8936 %
Probability that the device will operate in 3 yrs w/out a failure: 99.6812 %
Probability that the device will operate in 5 yrs w/out a failure: 99.4692 %
Probability that the device will operate in 7 yrs w/out a failure: 99.2577 %
Probability that the device will operate in 10 yrs w/out a failure: 98.9413 %

based on this computation, mag upgrade na lang ta, dili pa maguba ang CPU or GPU @ use temp of 80 Deg C. labi na, sa CPU na 2 to 3 yrs ra nato gamiton then upgrade dayon... ang uban, 1 yr ra, upgrade dayon...

aw, mao ba, good to know! salamat boss @lloyd_joy ug @wylliexhan. safe pa diay kaayo ni ako pc. clarification lang ni boss @lloyd_joy, kanang gi mention nga 1000 hours, roughly mga 42 days straight use na, walang gyud gi turn off?

  6. #6
HTOL (High Temperature Operating Life) or burn-in ni sya na Reliability testing ang gamit aning pag kuha sa MTTF (mean time to fail) or FIT (failure in time)... accelerated stress testing na sya maong taas ug temperature...

ah, unsa to boss @lloyd_joy, hehehe...salamat, murag kasabot ko'g gamay, gamay lang hinuon. mawala nako sa passing, ug sa dihang nag browse browse ko, gitintal man hinuon ko, tsk tsk.

akoang preference for a cooler kay liquid cooled ko bro kay mas limpyo sa mata... kaning mga air cooler na dagko kay nice man pud ni sya. labi na inig abli. mura'g makina sa luxury car like Benz... hehehe...

personal preference nko kay closed LCS on push n' pull configuration... mas nice gyud hinoon ang Open LCS... sakit2x lang sa bulsa ug needs ta'g maintenance. kun ma bz, dili na unya ta maka utingkay... dili man pud ni sya permi mamaryg pud hinoon... mao ni sya ang "mega" bling2x for me on a cooling system... full Open LCS... GPU, CPU, mem modules & north bridge chip... then clean pa gyud kaayo pagka trabaho... tulo laway nko ani... i might jump into the Open LCS band wagon but not now pa... bz kaayo ang tigs diri man gud... hehehe...
