    Default UNDERBONE or STANDARD BIKE

Good morning iStorya and Happy new year to all!

Naa lang ko question that has been boggling my mind for some time now.

This year I will get a new bike and I'm thinking of getting another underbone (sniper/jupiter 150) or exploring new grounds, for me, and going for a standard bike (Rouser/pulsar 200ns).

Both bikes are equally appealing to me and believe me, I have done my research when it comes to specs. Reliability, and price.

So I'm stuck with, nindot ba mo suway ug astig and rugged standard bike or basin mag mahay ko sa iyang size ug weight and stick to the city boy underbone scene instead?

This topic is interesting since other Asian countries are moving from mopeds to standard bikes, but is it really applicable to our bisaya roads?

just to shed some light about my situation. 95% usage sa bike is from mabolo to IT park which is around 2kms, mao na concerned ko sa size sa standard bike vs portability sa underbone.

Thank you daan sa tanan mo share sa input ug hinaut unta motubag tanan nga NAKATAGIYA both underbone AND standard bike. para dili one sided atong comments.

    Leggo!

Standard (200ns) nalang deretso boss. It doesn't matter kung 2km ra everyday imong byahe. e long ride lang inig weekend..

I have both Ubone and standard although mga small displacements lang.

    get the "real" motorcycle.

no offense but the term underbone is a glorification of the original term moped. kay moped man sad gyud na sila gipanindot lang kintahay paminawn .

so depende ragyud na nimo, walang basagan ng trip hehehehehehehehe

A simple straight forward answer TS, kung taas dako ug gahi ka get the standard bike, kung medyo alanganin ka sa pwersa nya medyo gamay aw get the lighter MC which is the underbone or pambabae nga design nga motor...

As Sir KHOUJ said Sir, if you are tall enough then go for the standard bike. If price is not a problem, I'd go for an XR200 Sir. For me, XR200 is the best bike on the market now. So many possibilities will be open to you Sir. Trail riding is a true pleasure for a bike lover. Just don't go with groups who like to race on the trail. Too stressful for a newbie. I almost always trailed alone with my lady on board.

There are also 2nd hand/used XR200 available right here at Istorya if you have budgetary constrains.

    https://www.istorya.net/forums/motorc...xlr-200cc.html

But for pure practical purposes none will beat an underbone. Economy and ease of use!

Good luck on your choice Sir. Happy New Year!

With your height Sir JViLLe dili gyud problema ang Standard Bike.

I checked out the Kawa Rouser. Gwapa Gyud kaayo!!! Go for it Sir!

I can just imagine unsa na ka lami i pang kurbada sa Trans Central. Dili kanang kiat nga pangurba ha! Just a relaxed cool drive. Nya naay angkas ng gwapita.

As for the XR sir. I’m only 5’ 4” with a 28.5” inseam. Been riding an XT600 since 1990. This is even taller than my XR200, but I’ve lived with it just fine. For me, NO Problem gyud. Dili gyud ko advise anang step on the left foot peg then climb on the bike. Delicado na if mo slip ang side stand. I very very rarely do that. Left foot planted on the ground. Tikang ug taman ang right foot over the seat (fold your right leg nya duko gamay ang body to the left). Still with the left foot KINTO on the ground, kick the bike to start. I never kick start a bike with the left foot on the peg. As mentioned earlier, recipe for disaster na, if the side stand slips. Kick starting a big 4 stroke single Sir, is an art, that can be learned by anyone.

But electric man ang XR, so yehey!

The advantages of an on/off road bike Sir are numerous. Number one gyud is suspension. When you are running at 50kph or more then suddenly naay pothole or hump... If scooter or street bike ka, mag kapuliki ka ug brake (dala pa kulba... ma crash? ma buak ang mags?)... If dual sport with good suspension, imo ra na ligsan Sir. Number 2, dili ka ma hadlok ug gamay nga baha cuz you have the high ground clearance.

But gwapa gyud tinuod ang Rouser! HeHe.

mao lage.. nindot jud tanawn ang standard bike. mura tag action star,, labi nag angkasan ug chikkas.. nah.. hahahah

mao bitaw naka huna2 kog shift.. peroo. wala lage koy experience and ako barkada halos tanan naka underbone man.. so wala kaayo koy opinions ma gather.. other than istorya.. hopefully naa pay uban taw mo hatag sa ilang opinions..

2 ra ako suod na amigo nga naka own both standard and underbone.. one said if he loses all his bikes but would be able to save 1, he'd choose the underbone.. the other one has shifted to standard all the way but has the underbone as backup.

so should i stay on the comfort zone with the underbone.. or take the plunge and try out a standard bike..

@JViLLe I think the best fit for you would be the standard bike since I personally know you and co workers rasad ta...hahahaha...

Kun mag Rouser 200NS ka brah, mura na jud kag si Jestoni Alarcon....
