since im planning a dedicated pc for IP camera recording duties, my wife asked me if possible ba ma record sad all telephone conversations. sometimes we forget things we talked about with our clients/suppliers/contractors and that a phone recorder would help us a lot. this will be for landline use only.

+function is also for security, wala ta kahibaw whats going on at the house, kinsa nanawag or what not that may be a security issue. simbako lang.

now my questions:

my research pointed me to a VOICE MODEM+PC+ RECORDING SOFTWARE.

MY PROBLEM IS ASA MAN TAWN KO MANGITA OG VOICE MODEM AT THIS DAY AND AGE?

i may have a few modems of old but these were win 98 days pa. i dunno if compatible ba sa win 7.

second part of my question:
since this PC will be recording from 24-hour IP cameras (4), any incoming and outgoing call, as well as serve files to the network, torrent downloader, printer server, allow xbmc from other computers to view movie files from this pc (streaming), what minimum processor would i need now? how about memory? low power consumption is also a plus.

off hand im thinking quad-core bay-trail low power SOC's but after seeing its tasks, maybe apiki, i dunno.
