Captain Marvel Movie Revealed, Carol Danvers Arrives in 2018 - IGN
Captain Marvel is coming to theaters on July 6, 2018, Marvel announced today. The Carol Danvers character will be the first female superhero to have her own Marvel Cinematic Universe film.
Kevin Feige of Marvel explained, "This film has been in the works almost as long as Doctor Strange or Guardians of the Galaxy before it came out, and one of the key things was figuring out what we wanted to do with it. Her adventures are very earthbound, but her powers are based in the cosmic realm.”

his first three reasons can apply to any actress and not unique to Washington at all. the other reasons are meaningless and possibly racist. this guy is probably just a huge Scandal/Washington fanboy. none of his reasons really tell me why she has to play a White character. also MTV lel.
