    Default bureau of customs regulations

Do you have any idea what the bureau of customs' regulations or requirements are when purchasing or importing goods particulary from China? I want to purchase items from Alibaba but not sure if they will easily get through Cebu Customs. I hope those of you who have tried will share what you know about requirements and procedures. Thank you

kinahanglan pa ba ta ani magpa register daan sa customs or BIR para marecognize ka nga legitimate importer? kay basin ihold sa customs ang mga items nya dako na hinuon mabayran ug storage.

Be aware that the BOC will charge you a percentage of the assessed value, not necessarily how much you paid for the items. They have a tendency to vastly overestimate the value as well.

Importing cannot be done in the Philippines on a small scale. Customs will eat you alive. You have to have a large enough scale to employ a broker.

@cool_romar... I decided not to pursue the transaction anymore after i consulted a friend whose husband is engaged in customs brokerage. It costs a lot. Zaibon is right, customs will dig deep into your pockets.
