Just recently revived my father's old Canon FD 50mm f1.4 SSC Lens (from being in the cabinet for too long, gathering dust and fungus) and used it with an adapter on my Sony NEX6.
I have to say the quality of shots i get is one of the reasons i started photography. Very nice depth of field, bokehs & selective focus. I love the manual aspect of photography where I am in control of focusing and aperture/shutter settings. It really makes me feel like I'm part of the composition. Now im always using the FD lens 80% of the time and considering getting another manual FD lens, probably a 35mm. I read from forums that with the 1.5x crop factor of the NEX Sensor, 35mm is close to 50mm FL in full frame format.
Anyone else whos using manual lenses on their cameras? What is your gear and what lenses can you recommend for someone who's just starting out?
