    Default Globe DSL

Naa koy question about Globe internet. Right now i'm confused if the broadband and the DSL are the same or not. I'm a smart bro canopy user and gikapoy nako ani ilang hinay nga net if during peak hours and fair usage policy nga 15g-20g. Planning to switch to Globe, now my question is which is better the wireless or wired nga plan? Kay gusto unta nako kanang wired bitaw para nindot/stable ang connection and pag tan.aw nako sa ilang website kay wala man kog kabasa nga DSL. All i see is the Tattoo Home Broadband nga with free landline/wireless router nila? Need help/suggestions/feedbacks. Thanks istoryans

      • I recently upgraded from GLobe DSL 2mbps to 3mbps and im getting only 2.4-2.5 mbps and their online supervisor tells me that it is acceptable and that they cannot assist me further. so im paying 50% more for my internet expecting 50% more on the speed upgrade but will have to take 25% only ? i was informed that Globe will never allow me to reach near 3mbps. my dispute is that they advertised 3mbps and i would understand a lesser speed of around 2.8-2.9mbps but to be told i could only get 2.5mbps max is really unacceptable.

so be careful when choosing your ISP. clarify what you get for what you paid. i wish some government agency can look into this issue because for me being promised a 3mbps speed and after upgrading, being then told i can only get 2.5mbps is a really bad deal.

This is where consumer mistake comes in. All internet service providers NEVER said that it's a guaranteed, say. 3mbps. What you didn't notice is a simple word that says "UP TO" 3mbps. "UP TO"

The speed can be as FAST as 0.01mbps and CAN reach 3mbps (depending on so many factors).

Your upgrade was "UP TO" 3mbps from 2mbps. So, technically, "acceptable" siya since ni go beyond man siya sa imong initial limit nga 2mbps (2.4-2.5mbps).

Also, consistent speed is not a guarantee, it is stated in their fine print that minimum reliability is 80% on a certain KBPS only.
