Dapitan City
It was already way past midnight last night when it started to happen. Right after shower, brice, who usually stays outside the cr everytime we'd have our shower, suddenly went on alert mode. Then he started growling and barking like crazy. Kevin and I thought that it's just a cat outside. But something tells me that it's different this time. My only mistake was not listening to my instincts. So, we just let Brice bark. But I did close the kitchen windows, which was open that time.
From shower, I stopped by the living room to watch the ending of a movie I was watching before shower. Kevin joined me. Brice, who relaxed for a while, went to the other bedroom and started acting berserk again! I started to feel anxious but went on with my nightly ritual after the movie.
As we got to the bedroom na with door open, Brice outside became worse. He would go to the kitchen, then to the living room, then the next bedroom, then would "knock" on the main door as if telling us that he REALLY need to settle something outside. I would keep telling Brice to relax.
As I was brushing my hair na (I was next to the window by the way), I noticed that Kevin had this weird look on his face while staring at the window. Instinct told me to open the lower window, just in time to see someone jump over our iron gate. For a second, I was too surprised to say something. Then I yelled, "BUANG!"
Kevin hurriedly went out. I got over my surprise and went straight to the kitchen and took our biggest knife. I was in my amazona mode already. Kevin told me to put down the knife because I look scary with it. Hehe! Brice on the other hand was in his full "Hulk" mode. I've never seen him so pissed like that.
Anyway, we didn't catch the culprit. I think Brice scared the hell out of him. We woke up our landlord who was just living behind us and found out that the guy took his wooden bench from his porch and used it to stand on so he can observe us from outside. So that was the reason why Brice also went to the other bedroom, because he was just observing outside that room.
What an interesting night. My husband and I were freaked out just the same! Because of the incident, we learned our lesson...not to take Brice's moods lightly. Thanks Brice for keeping us safe!
