Read and reviewed the app. Didn't install for the following reasons:

1. Privacy concerns
2. Not really free
3. The concept is redundant with the current promos of the local service providers

This is not the application you were using it was the free version of freedom sms and sorry to tell you that we already discontinued temporarily that version. The pro version is a paid version and you need an account before you can send.

Nakakatakot Alam nia lahat. WALA KAMING PRIVACY Tinry ko to i install kagabi then tnxt ko ung sim1 ko then ung # na ngtxt sa sim1 ko tnxt ko using sim2. 5 messages gnawa ko. then aun nag reply yung # sa sim2 ko. and ung # plang un ai # ng dev. so tinxt nia ko sa sim2 ko then laking gulat ko pati sa sim1 nagtxt dn sia. so basically. alam ng developer ng app na to ang lahat. anf sender, reciever pati na rin ang content ng message na gngwa natin. nung nalamn ko na ganun pla. edi inuninstall ko na. and gang sa una lang ung dev na to. mukhang pera dn.

1. Privacy concerns - I can show you the code and I'm only keeping transaction logs in the server(sender,recipient and account). Obviously this is what the telcos(SMART/GLOBE) do by default . This is actually the 2nd version of the app and iwan ko if sino yang taong yan kasi sa lahat ng comment nya sa app ko ganyan pero iba iba ang pangalan and it is obviously paninira.. 2. Not really free - In my own point of view I am already giving 30-60 texts daily so I think it is the so called free as I mentioned above in my first post. In the world of software business common naman yan nah may free trial at my so called limited version and if you want to remove the limit then you purchase the pro version. Same concept here. Take note Globe and Smart they are big companies but you cannot get 30-60 texts daily for free. What I am trying to say is no one can survive in this world without the money. Even Wikipedia they are asking donations to the world just to keep their servers up for everyone. I'm not Jimmy Wales(wikipedia founder), so I cannot just deploy my app in the wild and ask for donations just to survive..

3. The concept is redundant with the current promos of the local service providers --> I understand that this is not useful to you as of the moment or even forever. But I want to share some *few* useful sides of this concept.

i. You cannot send 30 -60 texts from abroad without paying P10-P20 per SMS.
ii. Promos of current providers does not apply abroad or you cannot avail their promo if you don't have money but here you can send 30 -60 text daily without spending a penny..
iii. Since this is text thru internet meaning you can use it anywhere in the world without doing special registration like what we do by default with our local providers.

This application was recently updated to offer free text daily, before it was for OFW only and I didn't offer this to Philippines for 8 months.. The time I offered this to Philippines I started showing ads just to get few pesos to compensate my effort..

Morag naa pud point cya sir. Naa man lain apps pud same sa imo.
But about privacy morag dili jud kalikayan jud tingali.
Sa ako ok na kanang dili hustle. Walay pop ups sa pag txt. Ayaw n lng daw eh limit sir. Eh agi n lng daw sa pag butang ug ads na dili hustle sa users.

Yes. I think there are many apps like this and the number 1 in the market is chikka.. Dili pwede nga walay limit ki people will tend to abuse the service.. I was once a user of chikka mga year 2003 and chikka before was unlimited as in unlimited jud xa mao tong grabe ang spam nga na contribute adto.. hehe Bisag sa mga prepaid karon mga promos try ug send 300+ SMS e ban ka nila. Anyway I'll keep the ads not intrusive as much as possible for better user experience.


Regarding privacy issue I forgot to point out to nudge this - Privacy Policy & Practice | Freedom sms . Check the "gathering of information" section.. Ang server ga collect jud nah ug important data like number,recipient and since internet text mani imo IP address makuha jud no choice and your location by default. THis are the basic data in order the service will work, without these we cannot make this service possible.. As also mentioned also in the "your acceptance of this policy " section gi mention diri nga pwede nimo dili gamiton ang service if wala ka naka angay, so Nudge is completely transparent and there is nothing wrong about his opinion..
