Default Needed Istoryans Expertise To Assemble A 27.5/650B (XC/Trail) Mountain Bike

    Good Day MTB Enthusiast Istoryans

Malihog unta ko sa tanan Expert about Mountain bikes, very much a newbie sa kani nga hobby, daghan na kaayo ko sites nabisitihan about mountain bikes especially sa mga built bikes na, ang problema kay maglibog man sad ko unsa nga brand ug unsa gyud mas nindut, from the thought sad nga sa kani nga hobby is naay virus nga "UPGRADITIS" nga gi ingon, much better cguro to build or assemble my own rig which would ease a little bit sa said virus, I am 5'8 and on the heavy side sad about 110kg, needed to shed off the extra kilos kay bug atan c misis, hehehe....Palihug ko tabang to assemble nga what you think would be best for me, for a start, I'm very much fix na sa Deore XT 2014 groupset, the rest of the parts will be from your opinions, suggest your dream assembled bike, parts by parts including sa brand names and which store sad you can suggest nga mapalitan nga barato sad, 2nd hand parts are welcome, my budget for this is around 35-40k, would be better if ma lower pa ang budget, hope This is enough for a decent MTB rig...

    Thanks In Advance To All

boss 1st gyud nmu para maka assemble kag bike is to know unsa imu gusto trial/xc/dh ug unsa pana na class. then if xc/trial ka murag imu gi mean kay aggressive xc na set-up. mao ni ako set-up sauna na proven na payter kaau.

    fork: epicon adjusted to 140mm
frame: da bomb HT (limot kos model)
    fd/rd: xt
    cogs: xt
wheelset: kalimot ko basta pang dh (lapad)
tire: kenda 3.25 (limot sad sa model)
    brake: shimano generic
    rotor: 180mm

much better to invest on the best frame you can afford.

hello TS. welcome in advance to biking. First of all, before you buy, try, and borrow from a close friend if you really love biking before you shell out the dough for the Deore XT gruppo. Now, why do I say borrow first before buying? Simple, it won't hurt you that much in terms of finances if you realize that you don't like biking after all.

After you have really, really, really, really, really decided that you love biking after all then now you can proceed to picking what type of biking you want to get into. Considering na para shed some weight ra imu gi apas, you can actually consider a stationary bike. Ang benefits ani is waaaay safer than a real bike and just as effective. Also you can bike even during raging typhoons.

If you do decide that you want to go outdoors while losing some weight, then a mountain bike would suit you. If space for storage is an issue, then a folding mountain bike or regular folding bike would be best. If you want to go for long distance, then a road bike. If you want to challenge yourself going up Busay, XC setup mountain bike would be best.

Moving on, the best way is to find a friend who is a biker and have him accompany you to a good bikeshop. Why do you need a friend? It is so that you will not get upsold so easily by the bike shop.

You need to go to a bikeshop so that ma measure imu body to fit your bike perfectly. Although naa general guide sa bike setup, best gihapon ang personal na naa ka didto and ma try ang components personally. You wouldn't want to spend 30k only to get home and realize that the saddle is a bit wide or narrow for you. Bottomline, bisan pa tag 20k na imu saddle if dili fit sa imu, it will feel like the crappiest 100 peso saddle sold at the store.

So now you finally bought your bike, please buy a good helmet, at least. Eyewear too is necessary next to helmet. I have too many people with really expensive bikes and yet settle for a cheap helmet. It is a sad state.

You got your bike, your helmet and your excitement. You think you got everything? Don't forget your tire patches and other basic tools like pumps and bike wrenches. Don't forget your other safety equipment like blinkers and reflectors.

Some stores you would want to visit first before actually buying would be JES Bikeshop right across USJR back gate. YKK and Wellson in Manalili. Avenue Bikeshop (dont know the street name). There is also Rox (I think) in Ayala. Bikeology or Cyclelogic in Parkmal. Try also Dan's (forgot the actual name) if you are near Lacion. It is along the highway. There is also the Specialized shop near UP (Im not sure if they are still open though). Remember though, there is not one store that is cheapest for everything. Different stores have different pricing on various items. Canvass, canvass, canvass if you want to get the best bang for the buck.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to PM me.

Remember, ride safe before having fun.

mao na ang problema kay wa ko kabalo unsa aggressive nga setup. gusto lng nako nga di sad low end or high end ang setup, bang for the buck and at the same time dili pud dayon ka tukar ang upgraditis.....hehehe.....tnx kaayo bai
