    Default hdtv purchase

my father is going to buy a 32" lcd hdtv and we have narrowed down our choices to these two models:
    - sony bravia klv-32v300a
    - samsung l32-r81b

suffice to say, both models are quite good and have their respective plus and minuses, however we cannot yet make a definite decision on what model to buy and scouring information over the web seems to only add to this predicament

hence, i would like to ask you guys what model is better and that of course would have to rely on your "tangible" experience of having been able to use directly the product or at least infer from someone who might have used the same.

also, we only visited the appliance shop at sm and sony store at the aforementioned mall, if you recommend me any place to visit, i will be glad to check the place out.

thanks a lot for the advice in advance

sony is priced 89k whereas samsung is around 64k, and both can be availed at monthly installments with 0% interest.
however if the sony brand is bought at cash, then its price will hover around 60k plus and additional 5k for home theatre system add on which originally cost around 20k

but then again the price is inconsequential according to my father (good for him)

i think he may leaned towards the sony brand seeing as at least one of you here recommended it and notwithstanding the fact that we have been using sony products for a long time now,
