University of the Visayas, Southwestern University and University of San Carlos are in Group A together with De La Salle University, University of the East, University of Perpetual Help System-Dalta and Jose Rizal University.

Some elimination round games will be held in Cebu City from May 21 to 25 at a still to be determined venue:

The two best teams in each of the three groups after the round robin automatically advance to the eight-team knockout playoffs. The two best third placer will be given wild cards, depending on their win-loss record and quotient.

The two finalists in the last National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU) season dropped their opening day assignments last Wednesday thus turning today’s meeting into a virtual knockout match in Group A. Reigning Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Incorporated (CeSAFI) champion University of the Visayas and Third Placer University of San Carlos both lost by a mile to their opponents from the NCAA.
