    Default FilOil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup 2014 (Cebu/San Juan)




    University of the Visayas, Southwestern University and University of San Carlos are in Group A together with De La Salle University, University of the East, University of Perpetual Help System-Dalta and Jose Rizal University.

    Some elimination round games will be held in Cebu City from May 21 to 25 at a still to be determined venue:

    May 21
    3:00 San Carlos vs. Southwestern

    May 22
    3:00 Southwestern vs. Visayas

    May 23
    3:00 San Carlos vs. East
    5:00 Visayas vs. De La Salle

    May 24
    3:00 East vs. Visayas
    5:00 De La Salle vs. Southwestern

    May 25
    3:00 East vs. Southwestern
    5:00 De La Salle vs. San Carlos

    The Cebu teams will also be travelling to San Juan City for their games against UPHSD and JRU. All games will be at the San Juan Arena:

    April 30
    12:30 Jose Rizal vs. San Carlos
    4:00 Visayas vs. Perpetual Help

    May 2
    12:30 Visayas vs. San Carlos

    May 3
    12:30 Perpetual vs. San Carlos
    2:15 Jose Rizal vs. Visayas

    May 7
    2:15 Southwestern vs. Jose Rizal

    May 9
    2:15 Perpetual vs. Southwestern

    The two best teams in each of the three groups after the round robin automatically advance to the eight-team knockout playoffs. The two best third placer will be given wild cards, depending on their win-loss record and quotient.

    Centro Escolar University barged into the win column at the expense of Rizal Technological University, 86-58, in continuing Women’s Division action from the FilOil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup 2014 at the San Juan Arena Friday (April 25). The two finalists in the last National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU) season dropped their opening day assignments last Wednesday thus turning today’s meeting into a virtual knockout match in Group A.     SAN JUAN City – Centro Escolar University opened its campaign on a high note at the FilOil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup 2014 by outclassing Emilio Aguinaldo College, 76-67, Monday (April 28 ) at the San Juan Arena. The reigning National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU) champions bucked a slow start and turned to their defense to turn things around in their favor. READ MORE

    SAN JUAN City – Cebu’s elite varsity teams started out flat at the resumption of the FilOil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup 2014 Wednesday (April 30) at the San Juan Arena. Reigning Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Incorporated (CeSAFI) champion University of the Visayas and Third Placer University of San Carlos both lost by a mile to their opponents from the NCAA. With the win, the Cobras improved to 2-0 while handing the Altas their first loss of the tournament after opening with three straight wins. READ MORE
