    Exclamation Need Experts Here About Connecting Two Routers

    Here is the scenario that I need to correctly setup:

    Globe Tattoo @Home (Huawei B593s22) ---> TP Link WR841N ---> Computers

    The Globe Tatto @Home acts as the modem(it is also a wireless router) that connects first to the internet... I need to let the TP Link WR841N be the active router and use its ip based bandwidth shaping or limiting capability... In other words, I want to make the TP Link as the access point or gateway.

    Here are the details that I tried:

    Globe Tattoo @home (Serving as Modem that is actively connected to internet / DHCP disabled / Static IP 192.168.1.253)

    TP-Link WR841N Wireless Router (DHCP disabled / Static IP 192.168.1.254 / WDS connected to Globe Tattoo @home with same Channel 9 and WPA2 security setup)

    Laptop Computer (Windows 7 64bit / Static IP configured 192.168.1.1 / Subnet 255.255.255.0 / Gateway 192.168.1.254 of TP-Link's / DNS 192.168.1.254 of TP-Link's)

    Globe Tattoo @home is wirelessly connected to TP-Link vice versa through configured TP-Link's WDS

    PROBLEM: Laptop computer cannot get an internet connectivity

    Any ideas guys?

    Wala nako gi connect sa LAN or WAN ports kundi naka connect wirelessly ang duha (TP Link and Globe Tattoo @home) through TP Link's WDS (Bridge mode) pero ni serve ra og repeater ang TP Link, wala siya ma access point.. Gusto nako unta e access point or gateway ang TP Link kay need to use its IP based bandwidth controller.

    Alright.

    I suggest sir, make your network simple para dli mag labad imong ulo sa configuration.

    If Globe tattoo @home will serve as a Modem (Disabled DHCP & WIFI kung naa), connect it to WAN sa TP-Link.

    And then configure TP-Link sa imong gusto nga configuration. In that case, isa ra ka router ang imong gi configure. Kay ang Globe Tattoo @home is just a modem.

    Possible man sad nga ingon ani nga config sir. (To experts correct me lang if I'm wrong)

    Globe Tatto @home (Serves as Modem) ---> TP-Link WAN
    TP-Link LAN/WIFI ---> Client

    Just make sure lang nga maka lahos imong TP-Link sa internet via Globe Tattoo @home. In these case you're good to go na.

    Simple configuration, walay labad sa ulo.

    huryhoy, tried what you advised sa taas but dili gyud kalahos ang modem sa router... disabled dhcp and wireless... then connect the LAN port of Globe Tatoo to the WAN port of TP Link... dili gyud ka detect or sync ang WAN Monitoring sa TP Link gikan sa Globe Tattoo @home.. I cannot think of any other configuration nga nakalimtan or nasayop.
