Hello Istoryans,

Been looking for fellow-Tagalogs living here in Cebu (ka-Istoryahan din
I've been living here since 2009. Work brought me here initially, but after 3 months I loved it here so much, I decided to stay for good. I understand some Visayan (maybe 20%) but I'm not really good at learning languages kaya nag English na lang since everyone is comfortable with English here anyway.

How about you?

How many years have you been here?
Do you speak Visayan/Cebuano already?
What made you move?
Are you staying for good?

Chika-chika lang, maybe we can form a Tagalog group down the line if people respond to this thread. (Not to alienate Cebuanos, but to also have a place to speak in our own tounge po.) Cheers everyone! Peace!

Lately sige manko travel2x sa Manila, mura raman ug Cebu gehapon, bisan asa naay bisaya. Dili pod ko ma uwaw mag binisaya didto or gahi^ ang akong dila. Kasabot man gehapon sila.

Thanks for touching base. Like I said, I don't want to antagonize anybody. If Boholanons, Cebuanos can hook up, why not Tagalogs?

If you were alone in Manila, wouldn't you be happy to hear from a fellow Cebuano?

Ako Tagalog pud ko.Ipinanganak po ako sa San Juan Metro Manila then migrated to Leyte then to Cebu city.Both of my parents are from Leyte.Nanatili po ako for 8 years there since we were migrated.
