    Default Newbie on starter bigbikes

mga mga masters gud after noon. i just recently sold my rouser 220cc and i am planning to upgrade to a higher displacement bike. i was planning to get a 400cc inline bike vs 250cc kay in the future basin mu upgrade nasad ko nya mag gasto2x lang. anyway i had 3 choices on my meager budget. Suzuki Bandit (not the slingshot model but the VC engine) Honda CB1 400 (cam gear driven) and Honda Super four (project big 1) i already researched all of the above mentioned, as far as i can see. hands down sa S4 sa reliability and parts availability as this bike is still in production. pero murag nahan ko ug clip-on bike (hapa2x) vs sa standard position sa pag drive (s4). pero i considered reliablity vs poseability SO i decided to get the S4 (ako nalang guro tauran ug lower handlebars).

ang question nako mga sir? tagpila jud ang sakto nga price sa S4? medyo2x mahal2x mangud diri sa cebu vs sa manila?. and about sa mga big bike mechanics, as per my research naa daw sa redemptorist (actually talked to the guy teteng) and sa sure fire sa VRAMA mga VBOYS manguro to sila?. aside from these mentioned naa muy mga ma recommend nga tech nga maayo mo sync ug carbs or naay ipausab sa bike in the future?

sa mga mu reply salamat sa tanan sir. i just needed your advice ako ning gehtiguman maayo ang bike so para nako dako dyud ni nga investment as i only have a meager budget nya maintenance wise makaya raman basta di lang ko mugasto ug 3K per month. hoping you guys can help me and enlighten me. SALAMAT! disclaimer: i wont use this bike as an everydayer kay naa ko scooter hehehe.

sa akong opinion TS stay away from carb units labi na ug 4 cylinders na, by and by mu oxidize gihapon ang pilot jets specially if weekend unit ra imong gamitan, it will oxidize then magpa retune na pud ka, pirti gyung hasula maayo unta ug madala ra ug kita2x ang mag tuno, kinahanglan pa ta ug vaccum guage to calibrate each and every intake manifold, If I were you invest for a CBR600RR 2005 above, in that way EFI na, maski i standby pa nimo ug 6 months to one year, inig balik nimo sa battery start na sad, OK ra ang carb kung single piston, for example SRX400, or SRX600, pero kung tag upat na gani ang carb wa na manga we-we gud ang mga calibration screws kay magsige ug pa calibrate, di pariha sa EFI units ba nga wa gyud kaayoy maintenance required, samot na ug butangan pa nimo ug power commander....olala....hurot gyud imong isug hehehe

nice jud ang mga EFI units sir. nindot sad ang CBR series pero ganahan mangud kog naked bike's - street bike nya di pa nako kaya ang high reving CBR let alone buy one. if i had the cash i would opt to buy an S4 nga revo ang version kato EFI sadly. its way outa my budget. even katong mga s4 nga Spec 1,2,3 di nako kaya. hehehe PB1 radyud.

well if you`re tight on a budget how about buying a Zongshen Xplorer150 for 58K then buy a bore-up kit (320cc) for 6K, about sa sound, tauri lang na ug 4 inch speaker nya gamay nga amp. then connect the input with a mylar capacitor 0.5uf/630v to the charging coil (AC side) of the unit, sports bike gyud paminawon TS hehe makabu-ot pa ka ug unsa kakusga, nya wa say maka basta2x nimo kay 320cc na on a lighter chassis, even SRX 400 di maka basta2x ug overtake....

I'd save more and go for KHOUJ's suggestion to get EFI bikes rather than carbs because of maintenance. but wala ko idea about anang retunex2 or how true it is. maybe someone can give us his/her experience regarding it. but if you would use it as your commute, dli man guro problem as what KHOUJ mentioned.

If galisud na gani kag palit... mosamot baya na inig napalit na kai tungod sa maintenance. better think again sa maintenance cost when owning either CARB or EFI bike.

nice idea! but no, mura rakog kingkoy nig gawas anang speaker2x no offence pero id rather stick with the engines natural sound, and i really dont like the idea of putting a bore kit for my bike. basin inig longride ana kay naay mupalya. and daghan sad ilisan if bore kit dba? its just not the cylinder head, piston and connecting rod. but i think ilis sad kag dako nga carb and open pipe let alone a racing CDI with a programmable Rev limiter? and what about the handling? would a bike thats designed for a 150cc engine safe using a 320cc?

sir i wont use it to commute, naa koy scooter for that function. and as we all know buying a big bike is not in the bracket for practicability its for your passion. ang ako lang unta question sa mga nakasuway na with this bike in this case the honda S4 kay pilay right price and pilay bracket sa maintenance. i dont want to spend 3K everymonth for a bike that i will just use every other weekend.
