MANILA - Senator Jinggoy Estrada would "most likely" run for the vice presidency in the 2016 elections if the slot is offered by Vice President Jejomar Binay.
But Estrada said he would first have to weigh his chances given the issues that he is confronted with, including his alleged involvement in the pork barrel scam.
"I'm not a hypocrite not to tell you that I'm not affected by all of these issues hounding me. Syempre we will have to weigh everything,” he said.
He said, however, that he still gets a warm reception whenever he visits provinces.
"The reception is still warm. Nothing has changed," he said.
Estrada said that if ever he decides to run for the vice presidency, he would only run alongside Binay.
He ruled out running for mayor of Manila to replace his father, Joseph Estrada.
"Impossible," he said.
"Pwede, sa Manila City Jail, kapag nakulong, mayor ang tawag doon. Joke lang.”
He reiterated his offer to Binay to accept the presidency of the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP), saying that the PMP will align itself with Binay.
