To those who are interested to get educated about the stock market and to those who want to open online accounts for stock market trading/investing, Unicapital Securities, Inc. just launched UTrade, it's online trading platform and is willing to serve you.

Unicapital Securities, Inc. is the securities trading/stock brokerage arm of Unicapital Group which does investment banking and financing (corporate loans). It started its operations way back in 1976. The Unicapital Group is under Majalco, Inc. which has stakes in Malayan Bank (aside from Unicapital). One major shareholder of Majalco, Inc. is GMA7.

For as low as P5,000, you can already open an account and start trading in the stock market. UTrade is using the Technistock platform (same as First Metro Securities platform).

Aside from providing an online trading platform, we also provide personalized service such as portfolio management and investment planning (stocks).

Our office is located inside the PSE office, 2nd floor, Insular Life Bldg., Cebu Business Park (beside Ayala Center, Krispy Kreme side).

Requirements in opening an account are: [1] photocopy of any valid ID (government issued) and [2] forms that are completely filled up.
Forms are available in the office or can be filled up online.

In funding accounts, it can be made through OTC (over the counter) deposits at BDO, BPI and Chinabank.

@agent_sky: There's a 7-day trial at the lower portion of the log-in page. You can try it for free. The platform is Technistock, basically the same as what First Metro Securities (of the Metrobank group) is using for their online stock trading.

Schedule: Monday to Friday (lunch time) at Ayala Center and Thursday evening (7pm) at SM. Venue will be at coffee shops.
Topics to be covered are:

*Stock market basics
*Philippine Stock Exchange (index and all shares)
*How to buy and sell shares
*How to start investing in the stock market (PSE)

Pocket lectures/orientations are for free but since its going to be done at coffee shops, just please pay for your own coffee. We're also limiting the number of attendees to a maximum of five (because of the venue and also for everybody to focus well).
