mga genius master UNsaon diay pag Dual Boot ?
that depends on what OS you are planning to install.Â* Basically you need to partition your harddisk to cater to the number of OS you need to run.
I did before multi boot. Win98, win 2000 pro, win XP pro, Win 2000 AS, Suse Linux, Redhat Desktop, Fedora.
All in one HDD. I let the Redhat control the bootloader.
What OS bro would like to Dual boot?
simple nga example, partition the hard disk so that you have C: and D:. 1st install win98 sa C:. then nagdagan na ang win98, run the setup.exe sa winxp dinha sa win98 environment. ayaw i-upgrade ang win98 kay gusto man ka dual. kung ma successful ka, every boot mo pili naka sa duha ka OS.
Another option: if you want to get rid of the usual repartition.. install Partition Magic and use it to repartition and install a second OS....
i did, pero dili man mo run ...
did you use FAT16 for your system drive (Win9?

hmm.. i'm guessing you don't have any 3rd party software that can help you with your dual boot system.Originally Posted by isone
ok FAT16 is basically the File Allocation Table structure used by DOS and Win95. FAT32 for Win98 and the later version of win95.
if you're trying to dual boot Win98 and WinNT4, u have to install Win98 on a FAT16 before installing WinNT
if you're trying to dual boot Win98 and Win2k/WinXP, u can use FAT32 but again, you have to install Win98 first. Installing Win98 when your WinXP is already installed is possible but a little tricky.
by the way, what Operating systems are you going to use in your dual boot config?
co'z if you want to have a Win95 or Win98 because you have an application that "doesn't" run on XP, maybe the XP's Compatibility mode feature can handle it.
bro kanang fat 16 or fat 32 mao na ang alocation sa imo operating system sa win98!kung sa winxp NTFS,bro inig human nmo ug setup sa win98 ang winxp nasad boot from cd nya leave intact existing partition man cguro na,din u can use fat not NTFS kai ang win98 dili pwede sa NTFS.
