Haswell incompatible Power Supplies

Seasonic confirms list of Haswell compatible power supplies | bit-tech.net ouch. so ang mga ordinary PSUs na diay karon kay di na makapadagan ug haswell flawlessly? ayyys. Sa mga naka haswell diha nga nag gamit ug non haswell ready PSU, how is it going? do u experience this incompatibility issue?

Since most of us here does not have haswell ready PSU, so is this really an issue?

It is only an issue if you allow the cpu to to go into deep slumber states (c6 or c7 not sure). Most older psus are not capable of operating with very low loads.

Using i5 4430 Haswell with Coolermaster 620W Thunder M, So far so good.

You can just disable C6/C7 sleep states and all is dandy.

^yes of course, but doesn't the average users need them to save power consumption when PC is idle.
meaning the mass folks who does not have these high end PSUs can no longer benefit from these basic power saving mode

They can still benefit from C1-C5 states. C3 is already idle, C4 is already deeper sleep, much more ang C5. If im not mistaken, C5 is already that deep that it wont go into that state if internet connection is detected present.

Whats funny is, most desktops haswell boards DAW dont have c6 and c7 enabled in the bios. Come to think of it, my board doesnt even have C5.

Edit: Naa diay ko C6. C5 wala. Doubt if it ever went into that.
