Default my PSU is causing weak/bad sectors sa akong hdd...

naa koi psu Antec Neo HE430W...gamit ni nako as test psu for 4 years na...wa gyud ni nako gibaligya kai luv kaau ni nako...karon naa koi WD 750Gb akong gi test kai ako ibaligya...mag sigi man nuon bsod...then right after naa dayon mo tunga nga weak/bad sector...

kung akong ilisan ug lain psu(Seasonic), then akong e-format ang hdd, ma wala man ang weak/bad sector...100% health/100% performance...stable kaau...

akong gi check iyang voltages(Antec)...spot-on man...12.10v...3.32v...5.03v...kung naai load...gamai raman kaau ang variations...

akong gi open ang Antec psu...wala man poi namurot nga capacitors...

any other checks akong pwede himoon? voltage spikes kaha ni? kinsai nakasulay na ug problem nga ing-ani...

    * nag try ko karon ug 80gb...ni bsod napod 1x...1 weak sector found napod sa HDD Sentinel...

Suroy gani sa balay boss, pakit-on tika same2x ana.

Using a 1.5TB WD Black (this thing is being detected as a WD Green, weird na HDD):
    1. Silverstone 750 watt PSU = 96% health, 2 bad sectors, more than 1000 days remaining, wala problem jud. Read/write payts ra.
    2. Antec 500 watt PSU = 51% health, 2 bad sectors, a few weak sectors, 20,000-30,000 communication errors to and from host (ambot unsa ni lol), 434 days remaining, BSOD galore. Files seem to copy fine from another source, pero when I try to read it I/O hang I have to restart mo crash akong Windows Explorer. Sometimes not detected on Intel SATA BUS sa X58 or Z77, I need to connect to a Marvel controller or a PCIE Raid controller para mo work.

Sa WD Black ra pod ni all my other drives are fine bisan unsa na PSU nako e-connect, ambot if same ba sa imo kay mura man og HDD serial killer na nga PSU.

hmmmmmmmmmmm kuyawa aning nahitabo sa inyu ba. meaning ang imung HDD nga 96% pa ang health kay mahimung 51% nalang if mag change kag psu to antec? vice versa? but then again how come sa WD Black ra na nimo mahitabo... sometimes naa juy mga weird things nga mga mahitabo sa pc parts.

Could be dried out secondary capacitors, wala lang mibuto. At continuous load, pwede nga ok ra sya but not at bursts.
It can also be failing schottky rectifiers and excessive noise. Assuming lang ko ha though you cant verify it via a voltmeter alone. You could ask @moklo kay hes more of the expert on this. Murag naa pa syay oscilloscope.

maybe ang platter wobble na. lets take a consideration nga prone sa damages ang hard disk (in time) kay daghan siya og mechanical devices moving.
