Summer is fast approaching then nag plan mi sako mga batchmates na mag Island hopping. Ang location namu na planohan ky either sa Mactan or Moalboal pero wla mi kabalo asa pd dapit


So mga fellow istoryans, ask unta ko ug advice asa ang nndot na i island hopping sa mactan ug moalboal and mas maayo if naa pud rates hehe.

Mactan Island hopping is good, ika daghan nako naka try... and prolly mu hop nasad ko soon...

There are different ports/wharfs kung asa naka park ang boats for the Island hopping.

1. Hilton Port:
> Ride or drive to Mövenpick Resort and Spa (also known as Hilton) in Punta Engaño, beside it you'll see a road going to the wharf

2. Angasil Port:
> Ride or drive to Punta Engaño, then turn right to Quezon national highway, about 250 meters you'll see The Mactan Newtown, beside it (right side) or a few meters after you'll see a road (going to portofino) take that road and go straight all the way

3. Maribago Pump Boat Wharf:
> Ride or drive to Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort & Spa in Maribago. facing the resort at the left side you can see an intersection ahead (pajac-maribago road) about 50 meters. take that road going to the beach.

I would recommend port #1 and Wharf #3 (kay pinaka common)

when you get there, people will ask and offer you deals or just can just ask around

Rates would depende on:
- how you haggle
- how many islands
- which islands
- size/type of boat ( capacity of the boat/ how many are you )
- package ( with meals & entrance fees or boat only )
- others


regarding the one in Moalboal, I think is less commercialized than the mactan and it is not really island hopping but just a boat ride to dive/snorkling sites or fish sanctuaries. the last time, we just went there to dive with a friend (marine biologist from U.K) and amo kuyog sa boat were also divers from different countries. abi sa bancero and guide na professional sad mi hehehe


I would also recommend hopping from Malapascua to Kalanggaman Island. it is north of cebu, it is a bit pricey but for me is worth it. Been wanting to do this but gamay pa ang willing mu go hehehe

nice ang island hopping sa mactan. usually, mo adto na'g olango, gilutongan, ug nalusuan. pwede mo morequest sa boatman nga adto lang sa kilid sa sanctuary para di mo kabayad og entrance hehehehe...
ang moalboal bitaw is not really island hopping, going to snorkeling sites such as fish sanctuaries and pescador island.
