Unsay symptoms for a defective motherboard?

First, I thought ako video card naay problem kay despite latest driver, mag-sigi ug notify ang OS (Win7 32bit) regarding problems sa driver sa VC.....so ako gi-tangtang ang VC, and akong gi-gamit ang on-board graphics...but, the same symptoms appear....so it has something to do with the motherboard....

Now, my motherboard is Emaxx EMX IG41D3-iCafe...so kato pang socket 775 intel....

I have 2 choices...buy a new mother board ECS G41-M16 DDR3, which cost 2,300++ or buy a new motherboard for nga Intel i-series, which would cost me more kay aside as motherboad palit paman sad ug processor....

But what if dili diay dautan ako motherboard? How to detect or test if my motherboard is defective?....

Have you thought of re-installing the operating system?
When did this problem came up? Dugay na? Or recently (working well before).

actually before re-installing the OS, naa nay flickering display ang monitor ...so abi nako monitor, problem....ako gi-gigamit laing montor, but problem still persist...so it has nothing to do with monitor....previous OS is XP SP3....this time Win 7 SP1...
@Merman, i'll try to install the chipset driver.....unsa diay ni nga driver?...sauna wala man jud koy maka install ug chipset driver....

update....after installing the motherboard chipset driver as suggested by @Merman, the problem is now gone....thanks kaayo master Merman....abi nako ug gasto na sad ko paayo sa ako PC....thanks again....

Ouch....posted to early.....nag-message nasad ako PC nga "display driver stop responding and has sucessfully recovered"...so under observation sa diay ako PC....

try another OS installer

try daw ug update ang bios sa latest version then download the latest version sa chipset driver og onboard video driver...
