    Default REMEDY: MIGRAINE


    hi there!
    I have migraine and i get so disturbed when it strikes.
    i used to apply omega pain killer sa sides sa ako forehead kung ma-timing-ngan na naa ko balay inig strike niya
    and then i sleep.
    but if m nt home, it really is so bothersome. biogesic won't do, vitamins won't do.
    maskin unsaon nako relax, wa jud.

    suggestions? esp from those who have this too. di jud ko ka-concentrate sa kasakit.

    when you have migraine attacks, look at objects that are colored green para ma refresh imong eyes. press the fleshy area between your thumb and your pointer finger. ma feel nimo nga naay mag burot diha basta mag migraine ka. apply pressure by massaging it.

    avoid the foods that can trigger your migraine. foods like: cheese, milk, chocolates. food additives like MSG or vetsin. stay away from bright lights and noisy environments as this can cause you more pain.

    stop taking pain relievers or paracetamols as these won't be helpful in the long run kay maanad na ka.

    i used to take avamigran or tylenol but my doctor advised me to stop doing so kay ma immune na ko and mag ka high na nya ang dosage akong i take.

    the abovementioned suggestions are what i usually do when i have my migraine attacks. i have traced the following basing on my observations: when i don't have enough sleep and i go to dimsum for a chow, i have migraine afterwards (due to the MSG or vetsin that chinese foods usually have), bright lights and noisy environments with lots of cigarette smoke in the air can give me migraine also.

    observe yourself, your patterns and from there you will be able to know how to avoid having migraine attacks. most of all have enough rest, plenty of sleep (8 hours a day), healthy lifestyle. sleep and wake up early.

    thanx msBeor! mine strikes wn i don't have enough sleep and the strike goes on for almost a week even if i get to sleep well na. =) makalagut jud coz i really can't concentrate. sometimes, i really would like to demand our office lights to be turned off but this just too crazy to do.

    lisod jud btaw when the attack starts. it ruins everything. just learn the technique of reflexology, it really helps.

    avoid alcoholic drinks it can trigger migraine attacks and do some exercises.

    a freind of mine gave me this advise... if you eat peanuts, make sure you don't eat the lumpy part found in between the peanuts coz it causes migraines daw. Ijust found out coz i ate a bag of nuts last week and when i stodd up ni tuyok ako panan aw.

    i don't smoke and i don't drink alcohol, so this certainly is not true to me.
    do you guys believe na migraine could be triggered when you do or try to do something (real hard, like pushing yourself na) that is not really in your area of interest?Â* remember, we have our left and right brain and one is dominant over the other. this is in psychology.Â* when you are left-brained person, you are logical and the right-brained ones are into art. mao man tingali ni. not so sure though.Â* for example, i am a left-brained person... and i do artistic things and try hard jud in doing it, maka-trigger daw sa migraine.Â* reason why, ang uban magsakit ila ulo if they study lessons kai maybe, ang ilang gitun-an is not in line with their interest...Â*


    a slight attempt to cross the border line of what we are (left-brained or right-brained) may cause headache, a hard pushing of oneself into doing so, may trigger migraine.

    someone told me so...Â*
