I'm not sure if naa ko sa correct nga thread but mag ask lng unta ko

Newbie pa lng ko in-terms of driving, i've been driving around for almost a year with my Honda Civic pero manual ni ako ge gamit as of now. We're planning to buy another one pero matic for my sister and parents. Ask lang unta ko regarding sa automatic transmission.

Question 1:
- The gears are D4, D3 and 2, if i'm currently on D4 then medyo steep ang hill, is it okay nga mo change gear ko from D4 to 2 while nag dagan? Kay as i understand, the lower the gear the more power nga mo accelerate if steep ang hill or kanang sak-onon kaayu. Is this advisable or maka daot ni sa makina if automatic? Please enlighten me on this.

Question 2:
- If okay ra mo change gear while nag dagan, need pa ba e step slightly ang brake then change gear or pwede ra na e largo og change? Unsay sakto nga procedure?

If pa drivon ko sa amo matic car , inani ko style bro if mo change gear ko ako sa i release ang gas pedal then change gear, ma feel mn nimo if mo low gear na, sakto ba sd kaha ako gi buhat? Hehe. Manual mn sd ako awto gud.

Yes, ok ra mo change gear ka bisan ga dagan. Pwede gani nimo i-neutral bisan ga dagan. No need to tap your break. Imo lang pisliton ang pislitonon para maka change gear ka. Di man jud sad na mo reverse imo sakyanan basta nagdagan. Pero kung wa lang ka bug-at nga karga or gi guyod, di naka kinahanglan mag change gear para mag tangas2x...

D with overdrive off; 3rd gear

city driving : D with overdrive ON. All the rest only for downhill driving or engine braking.
over drive button is the small button at the left of the shift knob. When overdrive is OFF, warning light O/D OFF appears on your instrument panel.

yes. mas minus gas on overdrive. Kung manual trans, overdrive on is like 5th gear.
Other cars that dont have overdrive, just use D.

if youre climbing uphill what do you recommend? like going to mr. a's or tops.. should it be L? can you switch gears from D to the other ones while the vehicle is moving?
