Default A Question about AVR (Automatic Voltace Regulators)

Recommended gyud nga mag gamit ug AVR mga ster? Bsg imung PSU kay nindot like Silverstone. Recommended gihapon nga e sak2x ang PSU sa AVR then the kurente? What if 620w akong PSU pero 500W ra gibutang sa AVR?
Ang monitor ninyo mga ster sa AVR sad ninyo e saksak or sa line diretsu?

Pasenya kaayo mga ster... Mangutana lang ko ka usa para di nako ma ehas. Hahaha

pasakay sa imung thread boss ha, naa ko new rig then ako gigamit kay surge protectro+UPS then akong gisaksak ang monitor and cpu sa ups then ups to the surge protector then to the wall wala ko avr ako nabantayan kay mu flicker usahay akong monitor basta naa sa ups nakasaksak then ako gtry ug dritso sa wall ni flicker kausa then wala na, ako nya etry ug surge protector>UPS>AVR pero wala pa lng ko money to buy avr kay dili ko ganahan mupalit ug generic hehehe

and to somewhat answer the question i think need jud avr for extra safety and constant flow or power mao guro to mu flicker akong monitor kay dili kadaug ang UPS, hoping naa mga expert mureply ani to shed some light, hehe

Every computer should have AVR, AVR prevents the computer from losing steady power required for its current task(s). Anything such as turning on a TV, or even an AC or water heater kicking on can cause the voltage level to drop below the voltage required. These variations in voltage can cause your computer to eventually slow down or even blue screen.

That's why you often see, if you turn on an AC, some lights in the room flicker.

I highly advice the usage of AVR since we are prone to black/brown outs. Especially after the Typhoon Yolanda in which power companies circulate their power supplies.

naa na may built-in voltage regulator ang mga psu karon

Tinuod pud. Ang mga new models kai naa na over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, and short circuit protection to provide maximum safety for your critical system components.

Pero if you're safety conscious like me, then I suggest AVR jud. Samot na karon na apiki ang kwarta and walay pampalit replacement.

over/under volt protection and other protection from the PSU is enough but not a guarantee. Plus, you're making your power supply work harder and may cause these protection to fail earlier than usual plus it will generate more heat.

It can protect your system/rig, but not your PSU...

Mas maayu naa jud ka AVR. Extra protection ang UPS og uban pa.
