PLEASE HELP! WD MyPassport External Hard drive not working

My laptop suddenly wont detect my external hard drive (WD My passport). I tried some troubleshooting which include:

- Unplugging and re plugging mypassport in 2 different USB ports
- Restart/Shutdown laptop
- Uninstall/reinstall USB.3.0 in device manager

Above steps did not resolve the problem.

For some reason, when I check the bottom right taskbar of my computer, it is detecting the USB hard drive.

But when I open the file explorer, I see that its loading/processing and I see it is detected as a local disk (D ) with no file info usually mo detect man xa as MyPassport. Cge blink iya light and when I try to access the drive (D ) it wont open and just keeps on loading and lags my laptop.

I Also tried plugging in some of my USB flash drives and it works fine.

Please help! I dont know what else to do. I have important files saved in my hard drive that I need to access. Mka boang lami na au ilabay ning hard drive ay!

plug it on a different computer to isolate if it is indeed a problem with the drive

Ni try ka og paslak sa imong External Hard Drive sa lain nga PC? Ni Work sya? If naay updates changes sa imong PC prior nga wala na ni function imo External try perform system restore, naka try ko ani sa ako PC wherein same sa imo situation but ako gbuhat ako gpaslak sa backpanel usb sa ako desktop kay daot diay akong usb front panel.

Check the Disk Management kung na detect ba cya. Start->Run->type "compmgmt.msc" w/out quotes -> Select Disk Management in Storage group.
