i think this is a bold move for AirAsiaZest having a daily flight to Kuala Lumpur from Cebu. 5j scrapped this route for poor perfomance and I hope Z2 will not suffer the same fate & think the key here is to keep the fares low and on-time performance should be reliable (not like tigerair which keeps on cancelling with no reaccomodation). I'm also happy that they have a CEBU-KOTA KINABAlu route this December. I think both cities were also serviced before by malaysia airlines CEBU-KUALALUMPUR via KOTAKINABALU on a 2x weekly service but opt out. Let's support AirAsiaZest and we hope soon you'll have BANGKOK, BALI, HONGKONG, SAIGON on you routes.

I am very happy to hear this News, makes travel easier and convenient! But sad thing, people get offloaded by Cebu Immigration Officers if you go to KL. YOu need to experienced getting offloaded twice and comply and submit additional documents before you are allowed on board! This is very inconvenient!

They make passengers life so uneasy. Unless you look very rich with all the gold and diamond in your ears, necklace, wrist, fingers and with lots of money in your bank statement, or just say you are a big businessman or son/daughter of an influential people then, you can pass through immigration officer without a problem!

But for us ordinary people, who can travel but just enough, we have to show a book of documents and need to be offloaded first before we can fly! This is very uneasy and a waste of money!

    Seriously discrimination!

@h23girt --- i feel your pain, girl. It almost happened to us last February when my traveling party to Bangkok from Cebu via Cebu Pacific almost got offloaded because some of our company id's were left at home. We have complete documentation-roundtrip airfare, passport, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers and cash yet they demanded our company id. i didn't expect that since I've traveled before through Mactan Cebu yet they did not asked for any id-only passport. I passed through Manila-same thing. I was really appalled and felt shame how they treated us.. Good thing they eventually let us through after I vouched that we will all go back because we have a job, a commitment to get back to. One of our traveling companion who was from Manila was even questioned why passed through Cebu when their are many flights in Manila to Bangkok. I felt bad for the other pax because they were offloaded. Recently my sister went back to Singapore to hunt for job (and she just flew to Singapore for the same venture a month ago). To avoid this kind of scenario i let her took the CEBU-KUALA LUMPUR flight with Airasia and bought her a 1 way fare to Singapore. She was grilled by immigration again (in Cebu) because she's traveling alone even if she has a hotel voucher for 2 nights in KL. What saved her is her platinum credit card in which she was an extension.. I think if they continue to act this way local pax will be too scared to pass Mactan Cebu immigration. Lucky for me I have lots of stamps.

Very strict ang cebu immigration.. here are some tip. if working ka here sa cebu bring your company id. print out all ur tkts, hotel bookings, tours etc as proof. Dapat naay return tkt. Naay credit card to support sa expense sa travel mas ok. If wala bring bundles of cash. lastly bring a pen. Have a safe trip.
