Default Hd7850 2gb fling force fan issue?

I just purchased Powercolor's HD7850 2GB Fling Force video card and noticed that the fan doesn't spin on start-up. After a couple of minutes it starts and the card works fine, in fact the performance is downright spectacular considering the price... but this fan situation... is it normal for this card, does it not spin to the max on start-up like most cards? Any owners out there can give me feedback while I wait for a response from Powercolor?

I should add that this is a brand new card and that I installed the latest drivers from ATI site.

the 7850 is a cool card, if the fans do not start at a certain temp, do not be worried of this.. it is probable that the fan curve set on the card does not spin the fan at low temperatures, sometimes this is a feature that is put on cards to make it dead silent while watching a movie or browsing the net.. run furmark and check the max temp of your card.. if its fine, then dont worry about the temps.. I bet it is cold where you are right now..

Thanks for the info. Love the card, amazing performance and so quiet... reasonably cheap too!

I think there is nothing to worry since the fan starts to work a few minutes after start-up.

It does not generate much heat during start up anyway. Only start worrying if the fan does not work when playing games.

I bought the fling force before, sadly it was Dead on Arrival. The fan design is really innovative!
