Hi bros. for my hardware. i'm planning to upgrade it to windows 8.1, I just have few questions tho those who tried it already. first, do I have to re install my programs after upgrading? what about the files? and second..., does it ask for a serial number or activation code or alike? coz my laptop came without any disks, dvds etc, just a pre installed OS and acer apps. so I don't have a code. thanks

if ur OS windows LEGIT, u may upgrade it

it will ask f0r a product key...unless you go f0r cracked versi0ns which are of course..."Illegal" or so they say...hehehe.

and you will need to reinstall/update some of the drivers.

pero ako suggestion is better stay w/ Windows 8.

I did an upgrade when it was released then yesterday nikalit lang ug letsi letsi ang mga Metro Apps.
now dili kaayo ko mogamit sa Metro UI pero lain kaayo knowing nga dili na mogana ang mga Metro apps.
I checked sa Microsoft forum and common ni nga problem and it seems wlay solution but only a re-install.
I wasted 5 hours suway suway sa all of the troubleshooting fixes offered by some experts pero crash
mobalik lang gihapon ang error.

so nag-upgrade ko ug usab but this time "keep nothing" option akong gipili.
Now I am monitoring ug unsa to nga Microsoft hotfixes or programs ba naka cause ato.

Also using using an Acer (4750G) pero dili lng pre-installed ang OS

stay with Win7 nalang oi, nothing excites me on Win8/8.1 other than new looks
