The AMD Kaveri new details unfolds! (The power of iGPU)

Recently we have some new details about the AMD Kaveri Kaveri and platforms FM2+ Processors. The main volume of information about promising APU we received on the day of announcement quad A10-7850K, however, some details were kept secret. Structure will include 2-4 cores Steamroller (28 nm), 4 MB cache second level graphics GCN architecture block with the maximum number of shaders, to 512 units., line PCI Express 3.0 controller and RAM DDR3.

Turbo Core technology will increase the frequency of x86-64 cores, depending on their temperature. Expected growth processor of performance – 20% relative to the APU Richland (FM2), graphic – 30%.

The presence of the integrated video core will help in saving electricity consumed configurations CrossFireX, moreover, will be available mode Dual Graphics. Graphics subsystem will get hardware video acceleration block UVD 4.2, video compression unit VCE 2.0 and ACP.



Chipset will support a dedicated PCI-E interface for SSD-drives, display images at resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 pixels and support for docking stations Lightning Bolt. TDP level mobile versions Kaveri will be from 15 to 35 watts, the battery life of laptops with new APU – up to 11 hours. Technology AMD Start Now 3.0 provides a quick exit PC from sleep mode.


And to add, it is said, this APU can run BF4 in medium settings, its impressive for an iGPU

so what you guys think? this would be best for a budget gamer out there, a really bang for a buck

yep...gamit kaau ang iGPU ani niya for light to slight heavy na tasks and kana dili gpu hungry apps...

yup, speaking of it can run bf4 in medium settings, moba games like dota 2 could be run on ultra or high settings, sisiw hehe

Launch date were announced sa ila APU 13 conference early this month. Expect it this January.

Ready na ko ani, board nalang kulang ug ang processor. Hoping the price would stick close to current A10-6800k.

Also I'm intrigued by this line:

"Dual graphics support with Crystal series."

AFAIK, Crystal series doesn't exist yet on the current R-Series.

@Sempron Guy wala jud kita pa ana nga demo, and thanks for sharing, yep im also hoping na close ra sa a10-6800k ang price range. Upon mention the crystal series, it might be existing on the iGPU but the question is, if the current r-series doesnt have that, how would the hybrid xfire work? if ever

Basin pud mao na ang codename sa iGPU. Given the specs, you can do hybrid crossfire sa HD7750 officially. It would be nice if mapwede sa R9-260x
