Absolutely, and there are a lot of reasons behind it.
one: (the most famous) other lover
two: they actually knew what they really want with their life
-funny since at the same day kasal pud. pero trust me this happen a lot - maybe not on the actual day it will take courage to do this decision. or ni proceed nalang sila ug pakasal since maulaw/ maikog sila.

gaghan nahitabo ani, ni back out sa mismong kasal nila, usa na ato ang friend sa akong friend. nalooy ko sa girl kay wala siputa sa guy. uwaw kaayo ang show.

Years ago my cousin experienced this with her fiancé.
A week before their December wedding, the guy asked
if she's sure about the the whole thing then in the end
he told her, he can't marry her because he fell out of love.
Tsk tsk... Felt sorry for my cousin who was so devastated.
However the guy did the right thing. They're both saving
each other a lifetime of mistake. Last time I heard the guy
hops from relationship to another while my cousin is happily
married with a baby boy and they're all based in the US
