I would have to agree with @LadYKilleR8520. Choose ones with comfortable earcups. Voice quality is not an issue here because that is Skype you are talking about. Unless Skype comes with an option to up the voicerate to higher than 32kbits..

this are generally the types of headsets that you can buy

the ones your used to is the ON-EAR headphones that go on top of your ears..
if you find that one comfortable.. then buy those types.. dont overspend since your use for the headphones is quite limited..

i personally favor Over Ear headphones.. since I game a lot and don't like background noises.. sound quality and audio positioning is also important for me..

but as for your use.. any headset will do.. and dont spend more than what you need.. there wont be any benefits on buying expensive headphones for your use..

o really? thanks, so that h390 is overprice? I just thought that sound would be better because of the stylish microphone though. so what brands are good? i think over-ear is the type of headset that i like.

its not "overpriced" its a good headset.. but not a headset that you really need.. just a headset that you wont use to its full potential.. I use a Sennheisser PC350 ( Amazon.com: Sennheiser PC 350 Collapsible Gaming Headset with Vol Control & Microphone Mute: Electronics ).. I need it because Im gaming, its expensive but every cent is being used.. but as for you.. we have locally available A4tech, Genius or Altech Lansing headsets that are cheap and dependable and will surely serve your purpose.. that is ofcourse only for talking via skype.. currently my skype headphones are cheap php300 genius headphones that I picked up, its been with me for years.. if it gets broken, well it only cost me 300 anyway.. so get cheap.. if it breaks just buy another..
