Angry Should looters be shot on sight?

The news of looting a Gaisano department store in Tacloban immediately after the destruction left by monster typhoon Yolanda is very sad to know, more so if you watch the seemingly proud faces of the looters in the video.

During the hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans, police were ordered to shoot on sight the looters.

Would you support the same drastic decision here in the Philippines?

WATCH: Looting of Gaisano mall in Tacloban City | ABS-CBN News

This seems to be an issue of survival. But, during the tsunami incident in Japan, there were no looting incidents like this. People will not even steal gasoline from cars already destroyed among the rubble.

Who will take the first shot?

Shooting them is out of the question.

Let them be to survive. We all know, there's no means to get there directly
to provide them food to survive because of the state they're in. There's no
point to keep the food from these survivors and leave it rotten in the end.
Might as well give it to them. Many people can benefit from the "loot" and
besides it's totally inhuman to deprive them of food and basic necessities
in this time of need. If they're going to wait for the relief goods to come,
do you think they will be able to survive that long?

As long as they're using it for survival and no other means, then I don't
see anything wrong with looting from a mall.

what good is life if once upon a time.. you had to steal.. to live?

would you do anything to make life beautiful?

I respect your view on it.

You're throwing a question in the forum and I hope you respect our views, too
rather mocking someone's username to make a rebuttal.

Life is beautiful when a person knows how to respect someone's opinion.

I still stand by what I believe in, in this scenario, there's nothing wrong in looting as means to survive.

Looting is never respectable.. never justifiable.. just never tolerable.

People who support looting should be shot too...

easy for you to say, you're not the one who suffered. imagine, no water, no food, and you have kids who's hungry and cold with no shelter. given in their situation, they are allowed to loot, so this means that you idiotic comment doesn't even count.

So disrespecting someone's view by mocking one's username is justifiable?
Just because we don't share the same views?

Who are we to play God?
I can't live seeing my family die of hunger just because it's not right to get food from the mall.

That's the downside of being too self-righteous, you lose your sensitivity over matters
that a lot of people are affected by the calamities we are facing..

    Self-righteous - sensitivity = hilas ang gawas
