Currently working in a company delivering this kind of solutions - Home automation, monitoring and home safety. Were using Zigbee, Zwave, Jennet, Low power communication protocol.

We have a gateway at home that connects to all devices inside and to connect your house to Cloud backend. Mobile and Web will access the Cloud or locally tru wifi...

Me currently akong gamit is teamviewer since wala man koy backend nga naka connect thru web, but 100 percent working siya, basta naa lang internet connection , kay akong experiment ang akong gihimong server is PC man, I am using PC as server this actually I am using integration on existing technology which I found out dili jud gasto and availability is not a problem... support is 100% DIY...hehehe
