Apple just launched the iPad air. It has an all new Lighter, thinner design and it is way more powerful than its predecessors.
It looks like an upsized iPad mini with smaller bezels. Prizes starts at $499 for a 16gb

Can't understand why they settled with a7 chip. Usually iPads are a step higher than the latest iPhone. So I was expecting a7x on this one. As with ipad mini 2, I was expecting a6 chip and I'm glad they made it a7. All specs of ipad air and ipad mini2 are similar except the size. So I see no point in buying ipad air over the cheaper ipad mini2. Except if you really like the larger screen. I sold my ipad 2 already in preparation for ipad mini2.
Very good point. But the ipad air will still sell because previous owners may have been used to have larger screens and maybe, just maybe wouldn't want to settle for the smaller Ipad mini. But I doubt if people would still want the bulkier ipad if everything that can be done on the ipad air can be done on a mini (both on latest version). I know of friends who wants to sell their iPad's to get a mini since it's more handy. I own a mini and it's my first tablet. Once i get a hold on a full sized one, i don't want to hold it for long. It's just feels so much heavier and bigger.
I think the only edge of the ipad air is it's better wireless capabilities (MIMO).
when will it hit our stores kaha?
ok ra man ang A7 chip.. I think its more on the supply chain ilang gbuhat karon.. daghan silag A7 gimanufacture e.g. iphone 5S.. and of course the success on their iphones would cascade down to their latest ipad assemby lines, including the A7 chips that goes with it (on the ip5s).
What I don't really understand is why did they not go with the Touch ID as well on their latest Ipads... I mean if they would go naman lang with their Touch ID on their iphones 5ses.. why not include it nalang on their Ipad Air /Mini w/ retina... I mean most people hate to go back typing back their Passcode when they're already used to using the Touch ID na (on the ip5s).
Its distributed to a number of countries excluding Philippines on Nov 1. So mga dec na Siguro sa mga apple stores pero sa mga 3rd party na shops naa na na sila 1 to 2 weeks after.
Mao pd sah. Kung naa nka 5s with touch ID kapoyan nka mginput sa imu tablet. Dpat Siguro nka auto sync jud ka sa imu apps sa imu I devices para way hassle.
