Default Rally at Ayala Ave, Sept. 21, 2005

    Is this really necessary

I work at a company renting some space at the Citybank Center at Paseo de Roxas, lapit lang sa Ayala ave. On my way home, i decided taking the Ayala way instead of Buendia, since the latter only permits jeepneys and it would cost me an additional 50% on my fare expenses...

When i got out of Citibank, i heard noise from somewhere near ayala ave. I was about to change my mind and go back to my supposed Buendia-route when i thought of asking some police officers on what's going on. They said, " wala yan, neng." So i said to myself, wow, how much are these officers paid, anyway? I asked again if the buses to cubao still pass by since i'm not really sure if the rally is happening within the ayala/paseo crossing... and the good-old men of government answered YES. So i went off - to ayala - in my most TANGA way - ug nganong ning tuo ko nila ba... only to display an act of katangahan to hike from citibank center to EDSA since the rally shut the whole ayala ave route.

Rallies like these should not distract people who work their as*** just to survive! Wala lang, i mean, we can live man gihapon ba bisan ug mangawat pa nag ayo ng gobyerno. If we're fed up with those kawatans, then let's leave! We can't help our country by dragging down every president! That's why i really cannot blame my relatives migrating to the US.

Do you think our country can still be helped? i still can help myself, that one, i know for sure...

Rally is not the source of the problem. Its GMA! The question would be is this. Is GMA still relevant? Is she necessary to lead the country. Certainly a person ( iam not even addressing her as President) who has ZERO credibility cannot lead this country.

So to GMA: Alis dyan, di ka namin kailangan.

I heard a lot of things going on in my beloved country. It's just too much politics there. It's just so funny because most of the times, we are good in murmurs and criticisms, but once ask to initiate, no body moves. I felt sorry for those people who are wasting their time shouting and yelling just to let our current President to step down. Right now, the importance of joining the rally is not for people/mass anymore, not for justice anymore, not for freedom anymore, it's all about their interest in politics, different positions in government and for their personal interest. That's why politicians become richer and poor people who are shouting ang yelling in the streets, they are the one who become poorer and poorer. Demonstrations are not the solutions, why not at least once ask your self of what you can do for your country? We are not helping our nation if we are shouting and yelling instead, we are trying to put our economy in such a bad place. I am so glad that there are still a lot of smart people in our country, that they are not joining into those streetwalk, instead they keep working for their family and for economy.

    peace!
