When I was 7 I was diagnosed with Psoriasis, a hereditary immune-mediated disease.
Psoriasis is not contagious and is very common in Europe and North America. Basically the only way you get psoriasis is if its in your genes. And my family has a history.
Basically the immune system goes nuts and starts healing a non-existent wound sans the small localized patches near my eye and scalp (mild to moderate). The skin regeneration is 10x faster than normal. (Does that make me a mutant, i wonder...

) I've been very lucky that my worst outbreak was when it first started appearing. I've been able to control it using topical steroids but even that doesn't cure it. I'm worried about long term steroidal use since it has complications like liver disease or even cancer. I'm looking for a dermatologist who specializes in psoriasis and natural therapy for psoriasis... and i've been having problems finding one since psoriasis is not that common here... I'd really appreciate it
