A multipolar world with regional powers is what we need. There will be respective reserve currencies besides the US dollar. The traditional banking system will be able to co-exist with the none-interest bearing Islamic banking system. Very unlikely to shake the dollar's status as the world's reserve currency. US Treasury bonds will remain the investment of choice for the world's banking system. There's no other reserve currency and there's nothing remotely close. China can talk loud and tough, but they are not in a position to offer an option to replace the dollar. Its own currency is not even ready to replace it. they are not prepared or keen to liberalize their currency.
