Who will it be?

Aside from the usual grandstanding of our senators, our new breed of senators must be in a limbo on who will they choose as senate president. I heard that voting will be done through secret ballots. In as much as the opposition senators are the ones eyeing for the senate presidency, the opposition is having a hard time on choosing between Villar and Pimentel.

I wonder how will the opposition senators vote, considering they come from the same group. They are divided between their own members.

it should not be appointed by gloria like villar before.evem if villar run in GO he should give way to pimentel to be the next senate president.the people have spoken they dont like gloria they reject running under gloria slate in senate.these should be settle by GO or the opposition group because people are giving trust to them last election there givin a mandate to lead the senate and why right now they are fighting each other.

I don't think there's still sense in having secret balloting in the choosing of the next Senate President. Those who support Villar and Pimentel have been very vocal about their choices. I doubt if there will still be changes when they have the actual secret balloting.

Villar will prove to be the most competent so far. Nene is a brilliant legislator but his political affiliations and his personal interests may hamper his leadership of the Senate.
