For those internet cafe owners and local tournament organizers who have been asking us about the LAN update: The Dota 2 LAN update is Free! All heroes are free! The game is free!

On September 24 2013, Dota 2 Philippines will push out the LAN update.

This will be a big update.

What's the LAN update all about?



- Local servers allows players on the same physical network to connect to a locally hosted game. You can become a LAN host by selecting the "Create Local Lobby" button.

- Players can see Local lobbies available on their physical network by going to "FIND A LOBBY" and selecting the "LOCAL LOBBIES" tab

- Upon completion of the Local game, the replay will be stored on the lobby leader's computer in replays/<match-id>.dem

It's 388.3 MB and the patch is now live!

Based on the feedbacks receieved, naa mga bugs, so lets hope for a quickfix. A patch that size is expected to have bugs and glitches. And for those who are looking forward to the LAN, this might come as bad news to you, internet connection is still needed to connect to the local lobby.
