Will changing the antenas increase Wifi capability?

I have the Gigabyte Z77n Wifi on my mobile Rig

samukan kaau q sa iyang implementation sa iyang Wifi Antena kay ing ani ug porma.


Bale separate cya sa mobo. then connected cya ug wire..

if i change the antenna to this type

will there be an increase or decrease in the wifi's capability?
then what considerations should i watch out for in buying the antenna? IE power, length, type?
I have no ideas in this.. please enlighten me on the subject

basta branded na antenna lang palita ok na.. kay kaning sa intex na usb kung wala iya antenna 1 bar ra pero kung itaud na ang antenna sama ana imo last pic full bar na...

UPDATE: just found out that the connector type of the antenna Im going to need to buy is, RP-SMA Plug or Reverse polarity - SMA female

mao2 brandes palita ... kasuway ko ani sa akong router.. g ilisdan nako ug taas nga antenna kai mutaas daw ang range... nia wa man effect .... preho ra man ug range sa kayong stock antenna... btw.. cdrking tong taas nga antenna ako gpalit.. haha kas2 lng ko kwarta

Bro, pwede nimo ilisdan imong antenna ug taas nga dBi.. kasagaran is 3dBi lang na nga antenna (pati wireless router, wireless adapter). Morag naay mapalit nga 9dBi antenna… likayi ang taas nga pigtail, kay naay cable loss sa signal, pati sa mga connector 0.5 dBi loss kada connector... sa wireless every 3dB increase, double imong power.

TS f nay antenna.. mas kusog jd na.. I mean in terms sa range mas modaku.. belive me.. antenna gives u a BIG HELP.. sama ra na sa TV.. dba tang-tanga ang antenna dba lubog pa na sa tanan lubog.. ^_^

mga dudes.. daghan ang dapat i.consider sa pag.ilis sa antenna gud.. still not sure sa specs sa wifi module nga nkataod sa mobo.. kuyawan q mailisan unya nako ug low dBi mas m.hinay ang signal strenght,, and if mapalitan naq ug kusgan, makaya bah sa wifi module ang power output nga needed sa antena..

mao ni ang example sa case nga mkapalit ka ug antenna nga dli diay makaya ang higher amplitude sa imong router, mao ning wala nitaas ang range niya

what do you mean by double power boss? double power to drive the antenna?

bigger factor than changing antenna is the placement sa imong antenna with respect to your wifi router/source
anyway, if ur not satisfied with the throughput and di na gyud mabalhin ang antenna placement and router placement, aside from wiring it directly, the best solution is to use a powerline ethernet device.

not really concerned with the signal strength boss.. but rather it keeping it as strong or stronger as it currently is.. ang form lang niyya ang aq main concern nga ma.change cya from wired antenna to a pigtail type antenna.. i need it to be compatible to the current wifi module nga naa sa aq mobo karon. and since mag.ilis rman lang ko. better to increase nlang pud signal range if possible
