The Zombie Survival Guide isn't really associated to Brooks' other work, World War Z, other than the topic of both books revolve around zombies.

Agree, and the survival guide is actually the first book which was followed by World War Z. I got the book from Power Books back in 2010 when that bookstore was still open in SM, it was really humorous that I got hooked and started reading then and there in one of the couches inside the store and finished half of the book.
