Job Description

The transcriptionist correctly transcribes/converts recorded General and/or Medical speech files with 98% accuracy. Files may be meeting minutes, interviews, focus groups, telephone conversations, voice mail messages, and more.

Job Qualifications

· Must have completed at least 2 years of College (preferably college graduate of any medical field)
· Must have a typing speed of at least 40-45 WPM (preferably touch-typist)
· Must have a typing accuracy of 98%
· Excellent English written and verbal communication skills (correct spelling, grammar and punctuation)
· Excellent listening skills
· Basic computer and word processing skills
· Good attention to detail
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Ability to work effectively with others
· Can work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
· Willing to extend hours as needed
