Mga boss unsay performance anang 2 ka SLI + 1 PhysX pjud ka. . .

Example:

2 GTX660 ti ---> for SLI
1 GTX650 oc ----> for dedicated PhysX

^ pwede na bro if ang mobo mo support ug 3-way or 4-way SLI... if 2-way SLI ang i-support nya, dili ka pwede mag butang ug dedicated Physx card kay kun naay 2-way SLI, mag x8/x8 ang speed sa PCIe... wla na'y lane ang 3rd PCIe na ad2 nimo ibutang ang physx card. dili na ma detect ang naa sa 3rd PCIe slot. pero, naa'y mga mobo na based on Z77 chip set na pwede'g 3-way or 4-way SLI... or, the cream of the crop X79 chip set based mobo w/ the SB-E/IB-E CPUs... they are on the league of their own... if kani ang mobo nmo, pwede kaayo ang imohang gi pangutana na set-up...

naa'y write-up sa net about GTX 690 and a GTX 650 Ti & GT 640 configured as a dedicated physx card... mo taas ang fps sa games basta supported ang Nvidia Physx but, it can only be captured sa benchmark... during the game play, dili maka bantay ang mata kay taas naman daan ang fps ang perfornance sa GTX 690 even wala pa gibutang ang dedicated physx card...

before, out of my curiosity, had tried to install my GTX 650 and GT 640 on my rig... mobo is an Asrock Fatality Z77 Professional... gpu was a pair of GTX 660 Ti SLI (before) and GTX 670 SLI (now)... dili ma detect ang dedicated physx card kay lagi, gi hurot sa GPUs ang PCI lanes na x16... gi tunga nila... nag x8/x8 speed sila as this is the default speed of the Ndivia GPUs on SLI... mao man ang gi support-tahan sa Z77 Pro... 2-way SLI lang... but 3-way Crossfirex capable sya...

@lloyd_joy - ayaw i sli imo cards or ayaw gamiti ug sli bridge

@ts - kinda worth it, if u have the cash to burn. but check usa imo game kung unsay performance if Phsyx is enabled. if significant for you ang drop sa frames, then get dedicated card for physx. naa may mga benchmarks sa net on performance using dedicated card for physx on supported games.

I wouldn't bother installing a 3rd card for PhysX if I already have GTX660ti on SLI... They are already more than enough for your gaming needs... People usually get a high-end AMD card as the main GPU and get a just capable Nvidia card for PhysX...

ok ra if dili i-SLI (mao man gyud ni himoon if ang dedicated physx card kay lain ug model sa main GPU chip)... i have tried this set-up na for a dedicated physx card... pwede ra gani naka SLI bridge (granting the same ang GPU chips) pero, set to a dedicated physx card and isa ka GPU... pero, that's it... ang question ni TS is on SLI card and physx. maong ingon ko na dili pwede if naa'y SLI card on a 2-way SLI mobo...

here's a summary on my tests using a dedicated physx card...

> 2-way SLI w/ a SLI bridge (the same GPUs are used): Ok for Physx
> 2-way SLI w/o a SLI bridge (the same GPUs are used): Ok for Physx
> 1 GTX 660 Ti w/ GTX 650: Ok for Physx
> 1 GTX 660 Ti w/ GT 640: Ok for Physx
> 1 GTX 670 w/ GTX 650: Ok for Physx
> 1 GTX 670 w/ GT 640: Ok for Physx
> 2-way SLI w/ a dedicated Physx card (either GTX 650 and GT 640): Not Ok for Physx... the dedicated Physx card will not run. It's not identified because my mobo only supports up to 2-way SLI... puno na ang 2 PCIe lanes... gi gamit sa duha sa GPUs ang full x16 speed... x8/x8 ang need for the 2-way SLI...


for the actual fps, wla ra ko mo kuha... ang akoang gi check kay kun pwede ba or dili... ma detect ba sa system or dili...

yup, sakto gyud na. if naka SLI na, don't bother to install a dedicated physx card if the mobo will support a 3rd nvidia card to be a dedicated physx card. the SLI set-up is powerful enough to crunch numbers during physx computation. sa benchmark ra nato makita ang numbers. if nag crossfirex ug AMD GPUs and even on single GPU, then gusto mag install ug dedicated physx card for hybrid physx para ma enjoy ang eye candy, then pwede kaayo... a GT 640 will do the job... or those with 32 cuda cores as minimum for GPU accelerated physx... mas better ang GT 640 nila or the newly released GT 630 [Kepler -GK208] kay gamay ra kaon ug power then 384 cuda cores sila ug barato ra pud. it will speed up physx computation during parallel processing... the more cuda cores available, the better it is for physx processing...

@werty - lageh. . . kailangan jud ug much money tah anah . . . pro ni ask lang ko, kai naa ko GTX 650 oc. . . inig upgrade nako mahulog na wla na syay gamit. . . so I was asking kung pede nlang n naku e.himu nga Dedicated PhysX.
@lloyd_joy - Thanks kau sa info bro. . . So meaning ani e.bligya jud n sya then buy the 2 VC nga ako eSLI. . . as you mentioned bsag SLI ang duha pede rpud ang usa ana nila kai eDedicated. . .

Difference sa duha. .

2 GPU in SLI but one in Dedicated. . .VS 2 GPU not SLI but one still on Dedicated. . .

depende ra na sa set-up nimo bro... if i-dedicate ba nimo ang isa for physx or baligya nimo ang current GPUs para palit kay powerfull main GPU then use an entry level one for physx...

mas hinay ang performance sa single GPU if i compare sa naka 2-way SLI... like, GTX 660 Ti SLI, its more or less, the same power as a single Titan... pero, if i-dedicate nmo ang isa for physx, then isa na lang ka GTX 660 Ti ang mag function as a main card... useless ang isa gawas mag duwa ka'g games na mo utilize ug Nvidia physx... gasto lang na bro... hehehehe... again, if mag SLI ka, ayaw na pag gamit ug dedicated physx card... i-set-up sa nvidia control panel na SLI then i-click ang check box na ad2 sa 2nd GPU ang physx computation... in this way, function ang both GPUs nimo sa tanan games then once mo call ug physx computation ang games, ad2 sa 2nd GPU himoon ang physx computation...

Bsag unsa ragud boss. . . Gus2 lang ko nga kung need ang PhysX naa ra dedicated GPu pra anah, . Try2 lang gud ni akoh. . . hehe!
