Additional Rurouni Kenshin Live Action Sequel Cast Members Revealed
Jump SQ and RuroKen Movie has now officially announced that actors Iseya Yusuke and Kamiki Ryunosuke will take on the roles of Shinomori Aoshi and Seta Soujiro respectively. Along with this official announcement is a list of additional cast members*:
Myojin Yahiko - Oyagi Kaito
Kashiwazaki Nenji (Okina) - Tanaka Min
Sawagejo Cho - Miura Ryosuke
Komagata Yumi - Takahashi Maryjun
Okubo Toshimichi - Kazufumi Miyazawa
Ito Hirobumi - Ozawa Yukiyoshi*
Sato Takeru, Takei Emi, Aoi Yu, Munetaka Aoki, and Eguchi Yosuke will all reprise their roles as Himura Kenshin, Kamiya Kaoru, Takani Megumi, Sagara Sanosuke, and Saitou Hajime respectively. It was announced earlier that Fujiwara Tatsuya will play the role of Shishio Makoto.
Oyagi Kaito takes on the role of Myojin Yahiko which was formerly played by Tanaka Taketo. No announcements were made about Makimachi Misao and Seijuro Hiko. However, Ito Hirobumi, a Japanese prime minister and a member of the Choshu clan based on Japanese historical events, is added to the list of characters that will appear in the movie.
The two-part sequel to the live action adapatation of Rurouni Kenshin entitled Kyoto Taika Hen (The Great Kyoto Fire) and Densetsu no Saigo Hen (The Final Moments of a Legend) will both be released in Japan on summer 2014.
